Jesus is a popular yet controversial figure. Sports figures and artists give Him credit for success. Others bash Him for allowing evil in the world. The world is filled with opinions about Him. How can you find truth in all of this?
People throughout history and even throughout the Bible have asked this very question,
“Who is Jesus?”
Some say He is a good teacher, others say He was a moral leader, some say He is the Savior.
Although you may not know who He is, the Bible is clear that He knows you and has a plan for you. Jesus loves you, and because He loves you, He wants to spend eternity with you. His love for you is described throughout the Bible in this way:
- Forgiveness — We have all done wrong against God and others (Romans 3:23). But amazingly He chooses to forgive us. (Romans 6:23)
- Sacrifice – Jesus paid it forward – He serves our penalty for our wrongs even though He is innocent. (Romans 5:8)
- New Life – He promises new life – eternal life – filled with unconditional love to anyone who believes in Him. (John 5:24)
Jesus truly is our Savior. He desires for you to come to Him through acknowledging your wrong doings. To accept His free gift of forgiveness and salvation. And enter into a relationship with Him by asking Him to guide and direct your life.
John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.”
