God has been working in the lives of both of my TWO. One is currently experiencing his wondrous power and how much he loves her, but that story is not yet ready to be told.
My other one is my buddy, Baxter. He's about 20 years older than me, but has always treated me like a respected friend and coworker. He's a really kind person, but unfortunately is not a follower of Christ.
Every month or two we get together and watch movies, and on one of these evenings he gave me really grave news. He had pancreatic cancer and it was in late stages, and his pancreas had drastically swollen. I hugged him and told him I was going to pray for him every night.
My mom asked me to give him one of her extra Bibles. I did, and even though he clearly wasn't interested, he politely accepted the gift.
Months later, no more than 6-8, I had Baxter and another friend over for movie night. Before he even took off his coat he told me that he remembered that I was praying for him and there was something he wanted to tell me. His cancer was gone. Not receding. GONE. And his pancreas was back to normal size. The doctors were shocked because he was still supposed to be in chemotherapy for a lot longer still
I don't remember my exact verbiage because I was crazy excited, but I made sure that it wasn't lost on him that this was a true miracle. And he told me that he KNEW it was.
I'm not sure where he's at spiritually, but Baxter has a Bible now. Just in case he gets curious about the God that blessed him with that miracle. <3

I know a precious little girl whose attitude toward God was very stiff-necked just last summer, but who is now, by God’s grace, sweetly tender-hearted toward her Savior. This story is especially delightful to me, because it’s about my 4-year-old granddaughter. Her name is Evelyn. And I particularly want to share this with you, my church family, because Evelyn is one of “my two”

There was a time we threw $5-10 into the plate and watched it travel down the pew wondering why we just gave up our hard-earned cash. We gave somewhat begrudgingly and without much joy.
